Body Art
Louise painted her first 'body' on a school friend in 1979, continued to experiment with paint effects for living statues, and then
moved on to try out uv reactive paint among the juggling fraternity at Circus Arts conventions. Eventually her 'bodies' were
appearing in beer ads, exhibitions, product promotions, and introducing new football strip. A body artist at work is quite a crowd
puller too as it is a fascinating process to watch and becomes an attraction in its own right.
Artworks
People seeing Louise at work often ask if she is an artist..actually they used to ask if she was an art student supplementing her
grant, but she neither looks so young or so starving. However, she has in fact painted on everything from people to a double decker
bus, and her work has been exhibited all over the UK, including London's Mall Gallery. She produces decorative and functional one-off
pieces in many media when she has time, paints murals, and has seen some of her work turned into embroidery kits and greetings cards.
